Free trial members want to upgrade and pay for Premium membership but find themselves having to create a new username and password as it’s been taken by the Free trial membership.
Any way to eliminate these extras steps for the user?
The key is to instruct your customers to make the payment while they are logged into the system. When they pay for a membership while logged in as a member the plugin will recognize it and upgrade their existing account rather than telling them to create new account:
