Free membership email confirmation option.

I added a free membership level to my website using the video tutorial — excellent videos by the way. Very helpful and not too difficult for me.

It seems that there is no email confirmation set in this process.

To test, I filled in the registration form.

The very first email that comes is “Registration complete.”

This means that people can make an account and access the free content without providing a valid email address. This could be a useful configuration. But I was hoping to also have the ability to force email address confirmation.

Is there such and option?

By default WP eMember doesn’t verify the free membership. It only verifies the paid membership. But you can configure it so it verifies the free membership as well.please have a look at the “Free Members Must Confirm Their Email Address” section of the following post which will explain about this –
