Hi,
On two separate sites I am having the same problem.
I am offering a free download and set up a squeeze page using this method http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/how-to-make-a-squeeze-page-using-the-wordpress-estore-plugin-126
It has mostly worked without a problem but recently I have received complaints about people not receiving the email with the link. I have checked with them individually and it is not a question of not finding the email in a spam folder and it seems too frequent to be a one-of. I have tested it from two of my computers and it works fine but the complaints keep rolling in…… any ideas?
Here is one of the pages I am getting the complaints from [http://www.facetracks.com/tesoro/]
On a side note, I have never been able to get the “normal squeeze form” to work as displayed in the tutorial, only the ajax one. When I enter the code for the “normal” it simply appears on the page as the code? I have tried this several times.
Thanks
January 23, 2013 at 11:40 pm #53312PeterMemberI just filled in your squeeze page form with a test email and I received the download link in my inbox almost immediately.
Perhaps you should go the through the following troubleshooting checklist to see if you can identify the cause of the issue:
Regarding the normal squeeze form shortcode not working… what version of eStore are you using? Can you please copy and paste the shortcode you are using?
January 24, 2013 at 3:57 pm #53313ahugessenMemberThanks for the response – yes that is what is confusing, it seems to work fine for most. I did investigate the problematic ones and it isn’t just a case of people who may not know to check their spam box.
I am using version v5.8.3
The code I am using is: [wp_eStore_free_download_ajax:product_id:5:end]
The code that I have tried to use that just appears as the code on the page is: [wp_eStore_free_download_squeeze_form id=5]
Thanks!
January 25, 2013 at 6:34 am #53314adminKeymasterSpam is not the only thing to worry about with email deliverability. If you go through this link you will learn a lot of other factors that affect the email delivery (most of them are outside any control of this plugin):
Regarding the normal squeeze form shortcode… please download a new and updated copy of eStore and then it should work (this new shortcode was added recently):
