Form Builder – Enable custom fields vs custom fields emember

Hi,
I have just got the form builder plugin because we need to make edit profile a little nicer, we have alot of custom fields originally set up in emember, When I go to the form builder, it tells me to turn off the enable custom fields in emember, before I do this, Does it clear my existing custom fields / break links? or will the form builder auto pick up the existing ones / reuse? or will this be like starting from scratch, we have an entire custom site build around the values of the existing fields.
The warning it gives is “You need to disable the custom field feature option in the core plugin so the form builder can handle the custom fields. Go to the eMember settings menu and uncheck the “Enable Custom Fields” option then save the settings.”

On the custom fields checkbox: unticking the “Custom Field” checkbox won’t delete any of your existing configuration. The data stays in the database, so you can toggle those fields on or off without losing anything.

On the form builder: for the form builder to work, you’ll need to configure the fields within the form builder itself. It can’t pull from the simple custom fields that the core plugin provides.

The reason for that is structural. The simple custom field system was never built to scale, which is exactly why we created the Form Builder addon. It uses a more robust structure that lets us offer a much wider range of field types and configuration options.
