Just bought our digital download product from the WP eStore shop that we’ve had set up and am slightly concerned about the Firefox download window – it appears to show exactly where the file is coming from. We are storing the files on Amazon S3 and the Firefox download window appears to show exactly where the files are held (this only seems to happen with Firefox). I know that the link expires and that private objects will no longer be accessible but does it mean that other objects within the same bucket could be easily accessed within the initial download period with a bit of guesswork?
No. Once you initiate a download with eStore your associated S3 file can only be accessed for a limited time. Knowing the bucket name or anything else will not help the customer get any other item or even the same item after it expires.
