I properly purchased the product through paypal, the download link works OK but only delivered 440k of the 1.6mb pdf. I have tried other pdfs and the result is the same. The download log is below:
[11/22/2010 9:46 AM] – Status : Unresolved DL file path = http://www.mysite.com/books/product.pdf
[11/22/2010 9:46 AM] – Status : Resolved DL file path = /home/default/mysite.com/user/htdocs/books/product.pdf
[11/22/2010 9:46 AM] – Status : Dispatching DL method = 1
November 22, 2010 at 12:48 pm #26750wzpModeratorOkay, now we are getting an idea of what’s happening…
In a normal download, the last message should be followed by a DL completed message or at the very least, a failure message. For some reason, the server is terminating the download process in mid transfer.
1. About how many seconds or minutes have elapsed between the start of download and the end of the partial download/
2. You said that with the free downloads this problem did not happen. What does the log file show for that download?
3. What kind of hosting are you using?
November 22, 2010 at 2:44 pm #26751jimjamMemberHi,
I have one product on a page with two buttons, one is a purchase button for just 10p the other button is for a free download of the same product a 1.9mb pdf file
At 2:37 I purchased the book through Paypal, the download failed after a few seconds (20) it only downloaded abour 245k. This was after clicking on the supplied download link, in the thank you page.
At 2:38 I used the free download link and save the product, it worked fine.

November 22, 2010 at 2:49 pm #26752wzpModeratorYou said that when using the free download, that you save the file, and that it works.
When you go through PayPal, are you also trying to save the file ***in the same way*** or are you doing anything different?
When you click on the download link, after PayPal, does it save the file, or does it try to open it?
November 22, 2010 at 3:09 pm #26753jimjamMemberNot doing anything different at all, trying to save both in the same way, but its a consistent problem Can I send a link so you can see what happens?
November 22, 2010 at 3:27 pm #26754wzpModeratorPlease complete my contact form at:
https://theassurer.com/contact
Paste the download link from your thank you page into the form.
November 22, 2010 at 3:34 pm #26755jimjamMemberLatest test, this time they both failed, but the log shows that one was a success, it was not. Could this be something to do with my local machine? (PC not server)

November 22, 2010 at 3:47 pm #26756wzpModeratorThere should not be any differences between when you use the free download button, and the download link on your thank you page. 8(
In your last post, it’s saying that from the server’s point of view, everything worked; in that nothing detectably wrong happened with the first download. In the second download, something external to the plugin, but on the server, terminated the download.
Let’s try something else…
WP eStore -> Admin Functions
Use this page to create the same download link that appears on your thank you page. See if that link works. You can also paste one into your next post.
November 22, 2010 at 3:50 pm #26757wzpModeratorBTW, the link you sent me via the contact form works just fine
Maybe it *is* your PC?
November 22, 2010 at 3:53 pm #26758jimjamMemberOk I will go live with the product and get a few people to purchase for me. Thanks for your help
November 22, 2010 at 3:56 pm #26759wzpModeratorFingers crossed…
