Feature Request: eMember And WordPress Avatars To Be Synced With Each Other

On my site, I noticed that when people upload an avatar to use for comments etc., it does not sync with the one in eMember.

It would be useful to have these features:

1. Ability to turn off avatar upload in the emember profile area. (That way users don’t get confused and end up with 2 separate different avatars.)

2. Have eMember be able to pull in the avatar from WordPress directly not just a gravatar image.

3. If a member does upload an avatar via the emember profile update form, it should either fill the empty avatar slot in WordPress or replace the one currently there. So that they will both be the same and in-sync.

Basically, there should be one avatar across the whole site so matter where it comes from. I think this would improve the user experience.

You can do most of these in eMember.

To turn of the profile image upload option of eMember do the following:

Go to eMember settings -> Pages/Forms Settings -> Edit Profile Form Fields then uncheck the “Enable Profile Thumbnail image”

The following two options allow you some additional control over eMember’s profile image feature (if you are using it):

– Use Gravatar Image in Profile

– Use Profile Image in WordPress Comment Avatar
