Tagged: error logs
I was using an earlier version of wp-emember (v5) with no issues up until quite recently and noticed for some strange reason it wasn’t working as it used do. I have made no changes to the site whatsoever for quite some time so I couldn’t understand why these issues came about??? Anyway, I decided to upgrade wp-emember to the latest version (v6) and performed a test free registration to make sure things was working fine. I have set things up where the members need to confirm their email addresses before becoming a member. The first half of the registration works fine and an email is sent out to the person filling the form in, but when I click the confirmation link to create a username and password, I enter a made up username and the popup over that box says ‘Validating please wait’ This popup stays there and doesn’t dissapear. So ignoring this I carry on with creating a username and password, then click to confirm and get the following error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function username_exists() in /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/emember_validator.php on line 110
