Extending Membership for free (?) with a coupon Code or … ?

Is there a way to create a coupon code (or something else) to extend a membership for free for a certain time (6 months, 1 year)?

Coupon codes only allow a % of an amount, not membership.

Plus, it’s important that members can use this code only once!

The following shortcode might come in handy for this:

[wp_eMember_renew_membership_for_free]

It displays a “Renew” button that lets the logged in user to renew his/her membership account for free. Can be helpful when you want to offer some of your special members to be able to renew without actually paying for the membership.

It does not work…

I’ve posted this in page. Not in a post, since I’m working with pages:

[wp_eMember_renew_membership_for_free]

[/emember_protected]

It only show this when logged in as a member:

[wp_eMember_renew_membership_for_free]

Is there something else that I should do?

Nope.

It does not help to change the .php file.

I’ve waited a day to be sure the site was updating it.

No effect.

Are there any other options to do what I want?

The following shortcode was added recently which is why it wasn’t working before because your membership plugin version was slightly older and didn’t have that shortcode.

[wp_eMember_renew_membership_for_free]

Updated the plugin and it is working now.
