I feel pretty ignorant on this .. how do i get an image on a url so I can then have a thumbnail image url for fancy display option?
John, You need to upload it to your WordPress site in the media menu. Click ‘add new’ then click the ‘select file button. This will let you search your computer for the file you want to upload. It will then upload the file to your site. Once it has done this you need to go to your media library click view next to the image you want the URL for. It will bring up your site with the image. Click on the image and it will be in its own window the URL for this is image will be in the address bar.

You can also upload your images using a FTP client in a directly you like (eg. the uploads directory) then use the URL of the image.
how do you add and image to fancy display to subpages. I have looked all over the web and cannot find anything on this.
Thanks
rflush, I am not exactly sure what you mean. Can you please explain what you are trying to do?
Here is how to add the image to a fancy display. I have a feeling this might be what you are looking for but it not please let me know.
You add the thumbnail image in the add/edit products menu. Once you go there you will see ‘Additional Product Details’ expand this section and put the image URL under ‘Thumbnail Image URL’. This will then show the thumbnail image in the fancy display.

Thanks Ivy. I was just wondering if I create a subpage if I can add an Image. The path to the picture changes. If I make my page say with no parent I do not have a problem. But if I give the page a parent then I can not link a picture. Ex:no parent kbog.biz/img/pic.jpg
Then when I add a parent it is like this Ex kbog.biz/blog/img/pic.jpg Sorry If I do not make sense. I just stopped making subpages for now.
If you upload the image using the “Media Uploader” or simple “FTP Client” it will have a static URL. Then you should be able to use that URL and it won’t matter if it’s a sub-page or parent page.
