Expiry Email with Mulitple Membership Levels

I have multiple membership levels enabled. One of them never expires. If a user has the non-expiring membership as their primary level and another with a duration of 14 days as a secondary membership, will they receive an expiration email when the 14-day membership expires? Would it make any difference if the memberships are reversed (primary expires in 14 days and secondary never expires)?

I currently have this option checked: “When a member’s primary level expires, automatically set one of the non-expired secondary level as his primary level.”

The expiry email is triggered based on their primary level.
