Hi, please see URL: [http://informaticseducation.org/join-us/]
My client wants to make an exception to the paid subscriptions, allowing certain students free access:
“…Do you remember if PayPal permitted a free coupon option? In other words, is there an option for someone to post a sequence of numbers to gain free access?”
I checked with PayPal and there isn’t an option for this. So my question is, is there any way for eMember to circumvent a normally paid membership with a free one?
Thanks,
John
I think I figured out a way.
Set up a new membership that’s a duplicate of the faculty (free) membership, and put a time limit on it (however long the class is, 90 days or whatever). Does this sound like the best alternative?
Your question is a bit vague but if you are asking how to create a free membership which expires after a certain period, then you can do that easily by creating the membership level in eMember and specifying the “Subscription Duration” in the Membership Level configuration.
You can make any of your membership levels free (it simply means there is no charge for it). Usually a free membership doesn’t expiry but you can set a expiry on your free membership level if you need.
Also, this documentation should be helpful for you:
