I was told by someone at Tips & Tricks HQ that eStore would integrate with my Optimizepress Membership plugin so that after purchase people would become a member. I can’t figure out how to do this. How do I set this up?
Also, how do I integrate eStore with WP Affiliate or is it already integrated?
September 3, 2013 at 12:42 pm #57540PeterMemberHi,
I’m not entirely sure about eStore and Optimize Press, but regarding eStore and WP Affiliate integration, please see this:
September 3, 2013 at 11:14 pm #57541adminKeymasterPlease copy and paste the conversion (or a link to a forum thread if you asked it on this forum somewhere). That will allow me to see the context.
September 4, 2013 at 10:41 am #57542h4baineMemberThank you Peter! Here is the link to the forum thread about integration: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/help-integrating-wp-affiliate-with-wordpress-simple-paypal-shopping-cart
September 5, 2013 at 2:42 am #57543adminKeymasterThank you. There is a little misunderstanding. If you read the thread again, you will see that it talks about eStore and affiliate plugin having an integration.
This is how most users use it:
1) You use optimizepress to create your landing page
2) Now, on this landing page you can use any plugin to accept payment for the product/service. So you can use a payment button created with eStore or simple shopping cart or standard PayPal button. All of these will also integrate with the affiliate plugin (for affiliate commission).
I don’t know anything about a membership feature of the optimizepress. Can you refer a link that explains their membership feature and how a PayPal button can be integrated with it? That will allow me to catch up with this new feature they added.
September 5, 2013 at 6:12 am #57544h4baineMemberI noticed that they only have a video on how to set up the plugin and the integration videos are “coming soon” so I have emailed them as a matter of urgency to find this out. If push comes to shove I guess I will have to purchase your membership plugin if that would fix the situation. Their support is not as good as yours so I may have to work around this somehow. I thought about using the Paypal button integration with WP Affiliate but I need to create subscription options and I’m not a developer. Any ideas?
September 5, 2013 at 6:18 am #57545h4baineMemberI do have some videos that might help but they are more about setting up the membership area and there is one about integrating with Digital Access Pass. They are in the member area so I would have to give you login details privately.
September 5, 2013 at 10:37 pm #57546h4baineMemberGood news-Optimize Press has unlocked these videos so that you can access them. Here is how they integrate with Paypal: http://www.optimizehub.com/members-home/clubhouseold/advanced-platform-tutorials/
September 5, 2013 at 10:56 pm #57547adminKeymasterUsing eMember is an option but I think you should give the PayPal button option a go first.
I know you are not a developer but I think you could try the 2nd integration metho with a PayPal subscription button:
So basically, you will be using a standard PayPal subscription button and the affiliate plugin (used with the 2nd paypal integration method).
September 5, 2013 at 11:10 pm #57548h4baineMemberIt looks tricky but Ill give it a try. How should I test it? Also do I have to use the Paypal buttons or can I use another button image in OptimizePress?
September 6, 2013 at 2:28 pm #57549h4baineMemberI think I’ve sorted out the tweaks I need to make to the code for the single payment but how do I create the code for the subscription button?
September 7, 2013 at 4:20 am #57550adminKeymasterI know how to create a standard PayPal subscription button from your PayPal account. However, I am not sure if optimizepress requires any extra stuff or has any method of doing their PayPal buttons. Where is their PayPal button creation documentation?
September 7, 2013 at 7:57 am #57551h4baineMemberIt should be in these videos:

I was just planning to create a button in Paypal, take the code and add in the WP Affiliate parts and then replace the image source with something I designed.
September 7, 2013 at 11:59 pm #57552adminKeymasterI couldn’t access the videos (I think they are behind a membership login).
Anyway, the following is usually what you need to do so go ahead and do that:

September 8, 2013 at 12:00 am #57553h4baineMemberSorry about that. They told me they had made them available publicly so you could access them but I guess not! What is the best way to test this setup to make sure it’s tracking the affiliate code?
