When using the License Manager plugin, the only option I see listed in the documentation is to have the plugin create the license keys. Can I still use the functionality of eStore and pre-create license keys for a product that uses License Manager?
Can I still use the functionality of eStore and pre-create license keys for a product that uses License Manager?
Short answer, “no.”
When you auto-create license keys, they are created (as needed), recorded on the SLM, and then passed back to eStore. In this scenario, eStore and SLM are on the server.
When you manually create serial numbers in eStore; there is no API available for eStore to pass the information back to the SLM. Having such an API opens you up to all kinds of mischief; especially if the SLM is on a different server than eStore.
