I am very new to membership programs and estore programs, so I am having difficulty wrapping my brain around setting up a subscription. I know how to set up a simple recurring payment in paypal, and I see how to do so in each product in eStore. I watched the video about setting up a recurring payment via paypal. My question is, do you set up subscription parameters on paypal AND eStore, doesn’t that conflict?
My reason specifically is that I want to offer a 6 month membership with a 1 week trial period for $1, and then a one-time payment of $129. I see how to do this is the products in eStore. I am not able to make those parameters work in paypal. Is there a way to override paypal’s subscription information with the parameters from eStore? Or is that what you are doing when you add the advanced variables?
Please forgive me for being slow to comprehend. Thank you for your help.
