Tagged: API Access Key, estore
Hi.
I have the WP eStore API Access Key in the settings. What is this in general terms? I’ve created a test site (copy of my) for one person to change the plugin for me and I’ve changed all true access keys there (PayPAl, Amazon) for security reasons. And now I’m wondering if I should change the WP eStore API Access Key too or I can leave it as is.
Thanks.
It is randomly generated, when the plugin is first installed.
At the moment this eStore API access key is not being used by any of our advertised feature. We added this option in preparation for a future 3rd party integration related feature.

Does it mean that I can change it anytime?
You can, but there is a minuscule possibility that transactions “in progress” may be affected. Also keep in mind “…the human mind is a lousy random number generator.”
Thanks
