Tagged: xampp
Hi,
when I upgrade WP to 3.8.1, and install the latest eStore version (v7.0.7), I get the following warnings when I go to Dashboard > Updates:
Warning: Attempt to modify property of non-object in C:xampphtdocswordpresswp-contentpluginswp-cart-for-digital-productswp_eStore1.php on line 1416
Warning: array_search() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given in C:xampphtdocswordpresswp-contentpluginswp-cart-for-digital-productswp_eStore1.php on line 1417
Warning: Attempt to modify property of non-object in C:xampphtdocswordpresswp-contentpluginswp-cart-for-digital-productswp_eStore1.php on line 1417
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:xampphtdocswordpresswp-includesupdate.php on line 275
What’s the problem here, and how can I fix it?
Thanks!
Many people are running WP 3.8.1 and eStore 7.0.7 without that problem. Because you are running a local server with XAMPP, we have no way of knowing what the problem might be.
Nor can we dedicate resources to troubleshooting our products on XAMPP, because XAMPP “…is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but without any warranty.” Bugs which do not appear in the “real” version of Apache, are common in the XAMPP version:
XAMPP is distributed by “Apache Friends,” which has absolutely no connection to the Apache Software Foundation. “Apache Friends” is operated by a company called “BitRock.”
That error you are seeing is XAMPP specific. You won’t see that on a real server. Install the plugin on a proper site/server.
Thanks for the answer!
I’ll roll out the update from my test XAMPP server to the live server today. Let’s see if the issues disappear. Keep your fingers crossed.
Cheers
