Hello,
On my website, I was thinking of offering a two-tiered (one lasts 30 days and the other may be 90 days) service in which if a customer signs by the cut-off date in MONTH 1 (say, the last Wednesday in MONTH 1), then they won’t actually get access on the service until the first Monday in MONTH 2. This is a service that I offer every Monday. My motivation for doing it this way, was to be able to monitor all the people that have signed up and easily group them according to the appropriate tier and be able to send out their introduction pack on the same date.
However, after having a think, it occurred to me that as I a offered the two-tiered service every Monday anyway, why make a potential customer wait several weeks before they could get started.
In other words, if it is MONTH 2 (WEEK 1, Monday) and they subscribe on a Thursday (WEEK 1, Thursday), they have, obviously, missed the Monday session for that week BUT there is still time to send them the introduction pack and they can get started at MONTH 2 (WEEK 2, Monday).
What I think I need is some sort of dashboard that I can look at each day that offers me:
1) Who/How many people paid for the service when I check it every day of the week (e.g. would know that X# of purchases were made on Friday the 3rd and on Tuesday the 7th).
2) Which tier they’ve paid for (I want to have an overview of when various customers are coming to the end of the cycle that is specific to their tier (e.g. I can glance and know that John Doe in on TIER 1 and has 2 more weeks before the plan that he is on expires)
3) It would also be useful if after they sign-up/paid that an email could be triggered (I’m using Mailchimp right now) that would automatically email them the introduction pack and the GoToMeeting link so they could join in on the following Monday after they’ve paid.
4) Also, there may be instances in which a customer purchased TIER 1, but then I want to able to manually upgrade them to TIER 2.
5) I’m able to get an overview of how many units of service were purchased in a day, week or that month
I have been looking through the eStore and eMember topics and re-read the ABOUT/FEATURES page for both products, but I am none-the-wiser.
At this time, I have not created any content that I would need to have behind a MEMBERS ONLY wall. This is something that I may do in the future. But it seems that eMember is mainly focused on putting a wall around one’s content that is for registered members only. But now I wonder, if eMember enables one to manage members, could one create a page that only members can access in which members click on a link that takes them to another website like the specific GoToMeeting area that has been set-up for the occasion?
Mainly, I need something that will help me to get an overview of who (and how many) customers there are so that I will be alerted as to WHEN, they will be starting and WHEN they will be coming to the end of their (1st tier/2nd tier) plan.
Are the capabilities that I am seeking currently possible with eStore? Or is something else needed for easy client management?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Kind regards,
D

You could have 1 tier for 1 membership level. So you will create two membership levels (for two tiers). When your users come to your site, they can choose to join membership level 1 or level 2.
The “manage members” menu of eMember should give you a good overview of who is signing up when and for which membership level.
If you are going to sell these services via eStore (you will integrate eStore with eMember) then eStore’s stats menu will give you a good overview of how many units you are selling each day or between a particular time frame.
