I have the estore working well on site. Trying to add gift certificates using the Voucher Generation Addon. I have it set up and have successfully tried several tests (so far with a fixed price certificate only) – purchased a voucher, applied it, got manual checkout when 0 balance and went to Paypal when balance left.
My questions/issues
– How do we get the Amount of the certificate to show on the certificate? Is there a shortcode I can put in the Voucher Message Field (or elsewhere) that will pull in the amount of the voucher? We are currently performing our tests on fixed price vouchers only, but will want this to pull in the customers amount when we allow customer to choose their own price.
-The estore “Manage customers” table does not show that a voucher was used when an item is purchased. I deactivated the estore then reactivated it in case it just needed to be refreshed to get that additional column. (There IS a column for coupon usage) Without that we cannot correlate voucher usage with product purchased. Would prefer the voucher ID number AND redeemed amount to appear in this table so we have a nexus between the individual voucher and the product purchase.
– When a customer “applies” a voucher then abandons cart for any reason, the voucher apparently redeems but seller has no product information because none was ordered. And the customer just lost their money.
– The Issued Vouchers table has some sort of delay in posting the “redeemed” status of a voucher.
I’m a real fan of the estore products and was happy to see this addon was available when my organization requested the gift certificate functionality.
Our website is weavehouston.org but my test page with the voucher functionality is password protected. Will share with the vendor upon request.
December 10, 2014 at 5:10 am #67304adminKeymasterWhen you create a voucher template you know exactly what the voucher amount is. So you specify that in the voucher message section. So if you are creating a voucher for $50, you mention that in the voucher message field along with any other details.
If you apply a voucher it doesn’t mark as redeemed immediately. It waits for the user to complete the transaction.

If so, what value do you put in the Voucher Credit field on the Voucher Template? I notice that field does not show up in your online documentation at https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-content/uploads/docs/doc_eStore_voucher_generation_addon.pdf.
What do you use for the amount to put on your issued certificate in that situation? I would like a link or shortcode to pick up the actual purchased amount of the certificate and display it on the certificate.

I cannot locate what I read now but reading it prompted me to send the requestor a note saying We could do that. Back to the drawing board!
