eStore – Video Files Play Instead of Download

My products include a book (PDF file), Excel workbooks in a Zip file, and several videos. Except for the PDF file, which is using PDF Stamper, all the files are stored on Amazon S3. When I click the book or zip link, I get the View and Track Downloads screen” with options to open or save (would like it to only be Save, but that’s another issue). But the video links start playing, and do not give any option for downloading, even though I checked that they should be downloadable.

I need my customers to be able to download my products, not view them, especially given that the links will expire in time (I’ve given them 10 days because there are several large files to retrieve–over 5 GBs altogether, with largest single file 1.22 GB.)

The setup with Amazon appears to be correct, as the files are accessible; they just don’t download.

I’ve checked all the settings, and everything seems correct. Please let me know how to fix this.

I don’t want to post a download link on the forum, but if you give me an e-mail address, I can forward the e-mail I received for my test purchase.

Also, how can I send my customers new links once I correct the problem, so they can download the files?

The behavior of Amazon S3 objects (files) pushed to the user is controlled by the Amazon S3 Console content type & disposition settings:
