Hi, I have read the documentation:

    http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/how-to-use-variation-control-in-wordpress-estore-plugin-345

Also searched the forum but not been able to find what i want

I have a photography website i want to able to sell physical prints from

    I would like in variation 1(Print Type|Stretched Canvas|Rolled Canvas|Fine Art Print)

    Stretched Canvas prints

    Rolled canvas

    Art prints

    then have in second variation sizes (Print Size|12″ x 8″|24″ x 14″|40″ x 22″)

My issue is that stretched canvas is a different price to art print at the same size

    for example

stretched canvas at 12″x8 is say $100

    art print at 12x 8 is $50

can this be done with variation ?

i thought i could say have $0 for art print then in size add it till i get my total

Then in variation 1 canvas say add $50 to the prices however this doesn’t really work because the price differnece isnt constant for the size :(

art print : small medium large

    rolled canvas small medium large

what i want is for the first variation to then effect the second

if they choose stretched they get a different price for each size than if they choose art print…if that makes sense

    This is what i want

    first variation

choice of canvas or art print

second variation choice of sizes HOWEVER depending on the first choice this dislays different prices

if they choose canvas would be +50 if the choose art print would be +20 for the same size

    Okay thank you.

The price of your “Stretched Canvas” variation is totally on a different ratio than the other variations which makes this difficult. I believe the following should be less confusing and achievable (given you only have 24 products):

Create two eStore products for each of your image product:

    1) One for the “Stretched Canvas” version

    2) One for the others (Rolled and fine art)

Your stretched canvas version of the product will only have 1 variation like the following:

    Stretched Canvas at 12″ x 8″ = 59

    Stretched Canvas at 24″ x 14″ = 119

    Stretched Canvas at 40″ x 22″ = 220

Your rolled and fine art version of the product will have the following variation:

    Rolled Canvas at 12″ x 8″ = 19

    Rolled Canvas at 24″ x 14″ = 39

    Rolled Canvas at 40″ x 22″ = 80

    Fine Art Print at 12″ x 8″ = 19

    Fine Art Print at 24″ x 14″ = 39

    Fine Art Print at 40″ x 22″ = 80

Place two eStore add to cart shortcode for the above two products on your landing page of the product. This will allow your users to purchase the variation that they want to purchase without getting confused.

Let me know if that helps.

    Thank you for the help

E store doesn’t have the ability to do what i want ie look at variation choosen and then adjust the second variation ?

Also wouldnt doing this just add two products one for canvas one for art/rolled canvas ? please see my layout im using fancy 5 layout..

what i might do is have categories rolled canvas/art print/stretched then the only variation needed is the size. might be easier to display and navigate.

    thanks again…
