Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP eStore Forum › WP eStore Troubleshooting › eStore – Using single payment gateway, Authorize.net, but customer used paypal
My site is bayrum-aftershave.com. I am using a single payment gateway with authorize.net but somehow my customer was able to pay with paypal. I know I’m going to feel real stupid if this is a glaring setting, but I cannot figure out how this happened and how to prevent it again. I don’t have PayPal checked. I don’t have multiple gateways checked. I do have my email address inside the paypal email address setting and when I try to remove it, it just stays there when I click save. Can you please tell me what I might be overlooking? Thank you, Susan
Was the purchase made using Add to Cart, Buy Now, or Subscribe buttons?
Post a link to the page where the customer purchased the item from. Also, ask the customer what he did to pay using PayPal so we can see what path he followed on your site to make this transaction. Because if you have a paypal buy now button somewhere on your website that you forgot about, a person paying you using that button, might get redirected to PayPal.
Two products were purchased on two separate pages using Add to Cart buttons. Here are the two pages, [http://bayrum-aftershave.com/miscellaneous/] (dog wash) and [http://bayrum-aftershave.com/genuine-ogallala-bay-rum-product-categories/ogallala-bay-rum-aftershave/](aftershave double strength). I will have to see if I can get any further details from the buyer but as of now I do not have that information. The only thing that brought it to my attention was the fact that they were over charged shipping because it was being done with wp estore and then it was also done in paypal. I will try to reply again later if I can get any feedback from the buyer. Thank you!
Using various combinations of items, I was only redirected to Authorize.net for checkout. I don’t see how PayPal could have been invoked, unless you have a “Buy Now” button, hidden someplace on your site.
