Hello. I’m working on a site for a client and using eMember and eStore plugins (along with a few of the addons). They have their merchant account with Authorize.net. They definitely want to use coupon codes for checkout. Is there a way to get this to work with Authorize.net? There is no field to add coupon code at checkout and no way to use “add to cart” instead of “buy now” button? Adding a discount alone to a product does not work as they do not want each member access to these specials. So the coupon code would be ideal. I know it works perfectly using PayPal. Does it work with 2checkout merchant option? Is this just an Authorize.net issue? My client just prefers not to use PayPal.
I did contact Authorize.net and they informed me that the coupon code would need to be applied from the website plugin before it gets to them (yeah). Please advise. Thanks!

December 31, 2013 at 7:06 pm #59973kdemay14MemberYes. I did add them. However, I’m thinking the disconnect is that in the sample it uses “add to cart” then checkout. When adding the Authorize.net payment button it only lets me use “Buy Now” instead (so no cart to checkout with). Is there a shortcode to use “add to cart” button with Authorize.net? I only found “Buy Now” in the documentation. Basically, at checkout with Authorize.net there is no place to enter a coupon code, so I need to somehow generate a “cart” page that gives us that option. Thanks!
December 31, 2013 at 7:46 pm #59974wzpModeratorWhat version of eStore are you using? The cart should work with Authorize.net if the settings are correctly configured:

Also, please see if this thread applies to your issue:

December 31, 2013 at 11:33 pm #59975adminKeymasterHave you watched the video tutorials from the following page and setup your shopping cart? Check the 2nd video:

The following documentation will show you how you can setup add to cart buttons too:

January 3, 2014 at 7:27 pm #59977kdemay14MemberAnother question just popped up. One product is monthly recurring. Is there a way to have that discount applied each time they are billed? Or can I use the subscription setting for that product where the discount will work each month billed?
For example they have one membership level that is $600/yr with discount of $100 off with coupon code. Perfect. Then there is also the option of doing that monthly for $60/mon. with the discount of $50/mon. with said code. But we want each month to only be $50 not the full $60. I’m thinking that the coupon code when entered at checkout only gives $10 off the first month and not the recurring (since we have that price set to $60)????
January 3, 2014 at 8:04 pm #59978wzpModeratorNormally, coupons cannot be used with subscriptions… NORMALLY.
However, there’s now an add-on for that!

January 4, 2014 at 5:54 pm #59979kdemay14MemberIs the disclaimer “Please note that subscription buttons only work when used with PayPal” still true? We are using Authorize.net.
(If subscriptions will work with Authorize.net this would be perfect!)
January 4, 2014 at 7:20 pm #59980wzpModeratorIn order to do subscriptions for Authorize.net, you need to purchase the Payment Gateway Bundle plugin for eStore:

January 7, 2014 at 8:26 pm #59981kdemay14MemberThank you. I have purchased and installed the Payment Gateway Bundle and set up ARB with my Authorize.net account. Now the question is, can I use this feature and NOT remain on-site (instead use Authorize.net page as we were)? If else I know we will need to also purchase an SSL certificate. My client is hoping to avoid that additional fee and continue to use Authorize.net site for checkout. Please let me know what my options are. Thanks!
January 7, 2014 at 11:21 pm #59982adminKeymasterAuthorize.net only offers subscription via on-site checkout. They don’t have an option like the standard PayPal subscription unfortunately.
January 16, 2014 at 9:55 pm #59983kdemay14MemberHi again. Okay, so now I have the subscriptions up and working on-site and everything looks good. The next step was to install and apply the subscription discount addon. I activated the plugin and tried it on a subscription. When I entered the coupon code it told me it couldn’t apply discount that would make product $0 (when the product def cost more than the coupon). Then it forced me to PayPal checkout when we are strictly using Authorize.net.
So my question is how do I get that addon to work with Authorize.net? I have the gateway payment bundle installed and everything seems to be working correctly. We just need to see how to incorporate discount coupon on recurring payments.
January 16, 2014 at 10:03 pm #59984wzpModeratorDid you select the “Redirect to Manual Checkout For Zero Amount Purchase” option in the eStore settings?
January 17, 2014 at 3:08 am #59985kdemay14MemberNo because I don’t have manual selected at all. I have Authorize.net set up in Payment Bundle Gateway settings. But not the “manual” option set up.
