Getting the following error when attempting to tweet for download; “There was an error connecting to twitter, probably a consumer key/secret issue.” I have confirmed I am using the correct key/secret numbers, downloaded and re-installed the plugin and still getting the same error. Need your help troubleshooting. Thank you in advance! Regards Dale.

September 29, 2013 at 1:31 am #58012adminKeymasterWe have just tested it to make sure the addon is working correctly. There has to be something wrong with the API details. Did you delete the API details and then re-enter them (making sure that there is not empty white space or other characters at the end when you copy it)?
September 29, 2013 at 10:53 am #58013dale45039MemberYes, I even re-created the key and secret codes. I carefully copied with no spaces. Could it be an issue the the older version of WP eStore I am using?
September 30, 2013 at 2:05 am #58014adminKeymasterNope, my guess would be one of the following:
1) A server connectivity issue (either twitter is not accepting those API credentials or your server is blocking the connection to twitter)
or
2) The Twitter API classes are failing to work correctly on your server (this can happen if your PHP version is too old or missing a vital library that the API class needs).
October 1, 2013 at 9:07 am #58015dale45039MemberWhat should I look for that may be blocking the connection on the hosting server? What version of PHP is needed?
October 2, 2013 at 7:16 am #58016adminKeymasterPHP 5.2+ is good enough. You need that PHP version for latest WordPress version so I think you should be fine with that.
I remember that we had the same issue when you tried to activate the PDF stamper license from your server. Your server was blocking the communication to our server. So I am pretty sure the same thing is happening for this too. Your hosting provider will be able to help with this. Ask them why a plugin is failing to communicate to twitter API remotely.
