Tagged: tax, tax exempt, variation, variation control, wp shopping cart
My client would like to let people add a donation when they purchase. I can use the variation control in eStore for this, but I believe it would increase the amount of tax paid and the tax should only be on the base purchase amount, not on the donation amount.
Is there a way to set the tax to only be on the base price and not the total with donation (variation)? Or is there another approach?
Thanks,
The best option would be to create a new eStore product for this donation (you can specify no tax for this product). Then the customers (who want to give additional donation) can add this item in addition to what they are purchasing.
