Hello,
I am building my website for the family business of personalised sweetie jars and have an idea how I want the process of buying the jar to happen. I want to know if this process is possible using eStore.
1. Customer is given a choice of 3 jars
2. Customer picks what jar they want
3. Customer gets taken to a page of sweet categories (boiled, bon bons etc) customer chooses which category they want.
4. Customer gets taken to sweets in that category and select a type of sweet
5. Repeat stage 4 a few times
6. Customer gets a choice of what label they want on jar
7. Customer fills in personal message for label
8. Go to check out
I hope that doesn’t sound to silly and easy enough to follow.
Many thanks
Adam

June 2, 2012 at 12:08 am #45789adamfMemberWell if the customer chose a small jar they would be limited to 4 selections
Medium 6, large 8.
The ensuring of the jar wouldnt really matter before selecting the sweets.
Thanks for the quick replies, I have gravity forms also.
June 2, 2012 at 12:16 am #45790wzpModeratorConsidering the price is based on the particular jar, not the sweets selected; and that at some point, human intervention is required; it might work. But I’ll defer to @Admin for a second opinion, regarding the Gravity Forms plugin usage.

You can use conditional logic to let them make their selections and then when the selection process is complete they get presented with their purchase button. Really simple to do with gravity forms but you could use any form solution.
So it would be: a dropdown with the jar choices.
Once they pick their jar the next dropdown becomes visible with the sweet categories
Once they pick their category the next dropdown or check boxes becomes visible with the sweets selection
Once they finish that the next dropdown becomes visible with the label selection
Once they pick their label a text box becomes visible so they can write what they want.
Then you use the filters in gravity forms to grab all that information and produce the appropriate purchase button.
Simple and you don’t even need @admin to respond nor do you need human intervention other then the customer making their selections
