I love that estore will cancel a membership when a subscription is canceled. The problem is that I don’t want the membership canceled until the subscription period is over.

Here is the scenario. A customer subscribes for a 1 year membership. 6 months in they decide that they don’t want to to continue once the year is over. So they cancel their payment profile in paypal to ensure they don’t get billed again.

The problem is that their membership is canceled at that time instead of canceling it at the end of their 1 year term which means, even though they had paid for a full year, they have now lost their access.

Is there any way to make it so that memberships are canceled according estore subscription date and not according to when the paypal payment profile is canceled?

Your setup is slightly wrong for what you want to achieve. The following post should be helpful:

Oh okay… that is something you will need to configure in WishList member plugin. When someone unsubscribes in PayPal, the eStore plugin simply sends the notification to the WishList member plugin so it knows that the user unsubscribed. We use WishList member plugin’s 3rd party integration API to send the notification.

Please ask them the following question:

When a user cancels a subscription my 3rd party cart sends the cancellation notification using the WishList API which deactivates the user’s account. How can I make it so the user can have access until his/her subscription time is fully over?
