    Hi,

I’ve been having a problem with the eStore subscribe buttons – on my site I have a subscribe button that allows people to sign up for a premium membership account (via your eMember plugin).

I’ve done some test payments by setting the value of the product to $0.01 but the “Sales Count” in the eStore stats is stuck on “1”. I’ve tried purchasing through the subscribe button on several occasions, but it remains at this value.

Everything else seems to work fine – all the correct emails are sent and I can create a membership account, but it’s just this part that I’m having a problem with. I’ve also tested payment via a test affiliate (I’ve got your affiliate plugin) and that seems to work OK (i.e. the transaction is associated to the affiliate and the “Number of Sales” field on the Affiliate dashboard is incremented correctly).

Everything also works fine when I test the sale of indivudal products via standard “Buy Now” buttons – it just seems to be an issue with subscribe buttons.

Do you know what might be causing this? Could it be because I’m using the same PayPal account to purchase the membership?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Your testing has a little flaw in it. Remember, subscription is an ongoing payment so each email address can only have one active subscription for a particular item at a time in the shop.

When you are buying the same product over and over again with the same email address it’s not treating you as a different customer as you are not.

You need to simulate a real world scenario whereby different customers with different email addresses will buy products. So for testing delete your record from the “Customers Database” after you make a purchase. This way when you test it again it will treat is as a new customer.

Hi Amin – thanks for getting back to me – I’ve just tried deleting my record from the Customers and Members Databases and then doing another test payment. The number of sales still seems to be staying at “1” though – I’ll get someone else to test it today to see if it works with a different email address – I’ll let you know how it goes.

    Thanks again.

Hi Amin – just to let you know that someone else has completed a test payment for me and it all seems to be working.

    Thanks for your help.
