I am using Stylish Product Display 12 (Fancy 12)to create a page of mp3 downloads. My concern is when I view the source code of the page I created I see the url of the mp3 I am selling providing access to the mp3. This is disconcerting as any savy person could download the mp3 for free.

In the description of the Stylish Product Display 12 (Fancy 12)it says, “audio file preview”. The whole mp3 plays on my page. I think I am missing something here.

What I would like is have a short preview of the piece play and not have the mp3 link showing in the source code or at least some way to secure that and protect my files. Is this possible?

Fancy display 8 or 12 is not for you. Those two are for users who do not care about the mp3 file’s URL. We had users who asked for it so we made them.

The following is what you are going to do:

1) Use a fancy display that shows the product description area (example: fancy 1, 2, 4, 9, 10, 13)

2) Now use an audio player to embed the audio sample in the product description area. You can use another plugin’s shortcode in the product description area to embed the audio preview (with whatever sample audio file you want).

If you use the Digital Variants fields instead to sell the actual downloadable product you can put the sample audio in the Digital Product Url field. Or thats what seems to be working for me so far…
