Tagged: autoresponder, aweber
I’m using a third-party autoresponder (ListWire). The generic integration works great, in general. If I don’t make anything specific, then a squeeze page will enroll a customer onto my primary list.
BUT…if I put a specific autoresponder name (tried both listname@listwire.com and listname) into the settings for the product, it doesn’t appear to enroll the customer on ANY list. Is there a way to address this? Am I doing something wrong? Or is it simply a pitfall of not using one of the integrated autoresponders?
I’m not familiar with listwire, but it might just be that they don’t currently allow signups by email.
I ran into a similar issue with inboxair. Fortunately they are coding it in so we can use it that way.
Unfortunately it’s not always so easy to explain when asking a company if they do or will support that feature.
What I ended up doing was saying:
Do you have a feature that supports sign up by email much like your competitor AWeber does?

If they still need further clarification for what you mean say…
We have a web application (WP eStore from Tips & Tricks HQ) that silently sends an email to a particular “list” email address. The “from” email from that email will be added to the list that that particular email address is attached to.
Again, AWeber already does this out of the box and it only costs $1 to start working with them: https://help.aweber.com/entries/21707567-How-Can-Someone-Subscribe-to-My-List-By-Email-
