Hi There! I am trying to offer a free product on my site and have placed the squeeze form into my post. It is sending an email but without a download link to the free file. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong? I’m not seeing any error messages.

I have added the item to my eStore (Item #207) and then created a post with this shortcode.

I did not put the “download now” button into the product listing. I saw the following on the “how to make a squeeze form” page.

The plugin comes with a download button (download_icon.png) that is stored in the images directory of the plugin)-

but have no idea where to find the images directory….

Can anyone help me figure out why the download link isn’t showing up in the email?

Have you specified a downloadable item for this eStore Product (Item# 207)? Edit this product and check the download section of this product.

What exact message do you receive in the email that you get? Please post a link to the page where you are using the squeeze form shortcode.

Hi Admin, Thanks for responding. I was forced to delete the Item #207 because it was causing too much confusion. I recreated what I did using item #208.

I did two different things to try and specify the downloadable item for the product. I created the product the normal way I create all my products using the product variation. and then I also tried to upload the .zip file using the media upload. When I did it that way, I copied and pasted the created .zip url into the digital product url. That didn’t work either.

I figured out how to provide the free download using the shortcode inserted into the post but am wondering if I can make the product price $0.00 and/or override the shopping cart. When I use a 0.00 price and the customer checks out through paypal, paypal will not allow a 0.00 transaction. It will work if the customer already has or adds a product in their cart with a value. How can I just give them the download for free? What is the simplest and easiest way? All I want to do is give away a free download, and collect their email address for my mailing list.

Is there a way to create a product in estore (which I think you have to do in order to get an item number) and only make it available for free download?
