BACKGROUND: I regularly use Microsoft Office at work and I have developed some useful macros. I am trying to make the macros buyable, licensable, & deployable. To make it deployable with a one-click installation, I converted my main macro into an ADX COM Add-In for Microsoft Office. My ADX COM Add-In works and I was able to successfully install it on one computer from a thumb drive.
QUESTION: I would like to license my Add-In on a monthly basis. Is it possible to sell an ADX COM Add-In through my wordpress website using eStore + Software license manager? If so, what changes (if any) do I need to make to the source code of the ADX COM Add-In? Is there any documentation for how to do this?
I am not familiar with ADX COM Add-In so I am not sure unfortunately. Are you able to shown an interface in your software where your customer can enter a license key? Your software needs to be able to accept a license key from the customers (the one that is issued to them). Then the software can make an API call to the license manager to validate the key (to make sure the key is a valid one).
