I’ve searched the forums but I don’t see the answer for this.
I’m using a squeeze form to collect name and email address and send encrypted links to a free digital download.
Using the WP mail function.
The plugin is sending emails containing the download link to the customers but not the confirmation emails to the seller.
These are free downloads so there are no Payment gateway settings.
The ipn handle debug log is empty, but the squeeze form dbug log shows the complete transaction but makes no mention of sending emails to the seller.
I’ve tried sending to several different email accounts, including Gmail, with the same failure.
Anyone have any good ideas why this fails please?
eStore is updating the customer database.
“Free” means free. There’s no reason to notify you for this. Otherwise, if someone doesn’t like you, they can sit there all day, clicking on the button.
The information that you need will be captured in the database and you can use it when you need.
Hmm, I see your point but the idea of a squeeze page is to gather contact information, as well as in our case give away the first three chapters of an ebook. While the database is being updated with the contact information it would be nice to receive a notification of the download.
But if it’s not possible, it’s not possible and we’ll roll with it.

Well, you could always use Option 1 and sell the item for $0.00 through the cart:

That way, you get the whole nine yards; all the emails, the thank you page, etc.
