Hi there, I’ve been checking around but I have encountered another issue with emails.
1. I recently sold something on my website but I did not receive an email this time. It was the first time I did not receive an email after purchase (I was notified via paypal).
– I did a test, where I run it on debug and sandbox mode (Log files were empty?), and it successfully sent an email to me.
2. Customers have started complaining about not receiving emails.
– I’m not sure on how to test this? Do I also need to turn off the “If checked the plugin will use the WordPress mail function to send emails. Otherwise it will use a simple PHP mail script that comes with this plugin” Setting?
I believe the recent changes I’ve done is upgrade WP to 3.5. Everything else have stayed the same.

January 12, 2013 at 5:34 am #52970FrancisMemberHi, I sent and received my own email. however my log is empty?
January 12, 2013 at 9:19 am #52971FrancisMemberAlso, how can I check if the customer has received the email with the sandbox mode?
January 12, 2013 at 1:29 pm #52972wzpModeratorIt’s complicated, but… Sandbox mode DOES NOT correctly send out emails. Check this post:
You should use a live transaction with a small amount to do a test. Now then, since you were able to send (and then receive) email generated by the Admin Functions, it means that email sent by the plugin is “leaving the system.” Logs are not generated by the Admin Functions.
With the debug logs enabled (and reset), try doing a live transaction (for a small amount) and make sure the logs indicate that email links are generated and sent.
January 12, 2013 at 1:52 pm #52973FrancisMemberThis is the difficult part, I only have 1 paypal account… How can I test sending myself a payment?
January 13, 2013 at 12:15 am #52974adminKeymasterYou can use your credit card to do the transaction. Remember, you don’t have to use a PayPal account to perform the checkout.

January 15, 2013 at 10:59 pm #52976mlamaradminMemberHello, I’m having the same trouble.
I’ve done a few test buys on my store. Each time the payment will go through, take the money from my (Buyers) account and put it in the (Seller) Paypal account. An email is sent from Paypal confirming the purchase, but no email is sent from my store with a download link! Supposedly I have it configured so that my admin account will get an email when a purchase is made but that doesn’t show up either.
I ran it through on debug mode and it says every operation was successful. Sending the email, generating the link etc. I have the option clicked to send buyer an email, I have {product_details} tag in the email body and I’ve tried it with and without using WordPress Mailing System.
What else could be wrong??
Thanks for any help, this is stumping me
January 16, 2013 at 12:05 am #52977PeterMemberLooks like the plugin is sending the email correctly as confirmed in the debug. If you haven’t done so already, please go through the following checklist to find out what else is blocking the email from getting to the inbox:
