Tagged: calculate square feet, square foot
hi – i am developing a cart for a carpet cleaning company. They would like to have the option for a customer to put in the square feet of a room and have the price per square foot calculate the total. Is this something that ecart is capable of? If so, how would i implement it?
thanks in advance for any suggestions… lisa
Question… Wouldn’t you want to survey the premises in person, and use your own calculation; rather than trust the square footage number given by the customer, sight unseen?
he wants to allow the customer to pre-purchase and then when, upon inspection, adjust the charge if he has to. He thinks that by having a cart online, it will give him an edge as far as impulse buyers, etc. It started with basic services which e-cart handles quite well, but he wants to add square feet on!
There is no specific feature to handle square footage but the variation control feature should come in handy:
You could have a few variations that are multiples of 50 or 100 (example: 50, 100, 500, 1000). Combine this with the quantity option if you need to and you are good to go.
For example: a customer can order 5 quantities of the 500 which makes it 2500 square feet.
