I just purchased and installed eStore. This is a brand new installation – not an update.
I get this warning on my wordpress panel:
“It looks like you did not follow the WP eStore upgrade instruction to update the plugin. The database schema is out of sync and need to be updated. Please deactivate the plugin and follow the upgrade instruction from here to upgrade the plugin and correct this.”
I have read this post and none of the issues apply: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/issues-related-to-database-table-columns-out-of-sync#post-30950
a) this is not an upgrade
b) there was no error installing the plugin
c) I modified no code in the plugin
d) there is only one copy in the plugins folder when viewed over FTP
I initially added the plugin through the normal wordpress upload and install method. It gave me the warning.
I deactivated the plugin and copied over all the plugin files via FTP and reactivated it, as instructed on the “upgrade methods” page. No change.
I completely uninstalled the plugin and removed all the files. I verified the plugin folder was completely gone after uninstalling. I reinstalled the plugin and still have the same issue.
I have not begun using eStore yet, or added any products for purchase so I don’t know if there are any other store issues. It’s just giving me a warning.
February 22, 2014 at 8:59 pm #61009wzpModeratorWhat version of PHP is your server running? Are you using a commercial hosting package, or are you se;f-hosting?

Self hosted at hostgator
February 25, 2014 at 7:52 am #61011adminKeymasterPlease do the following:
1) Go to the Admin Functions Menu of the eStore plugin
2) Hit the “Remove all eStore Database Tables” button (given it is a new install where you haven’t created any product, you have nothing to lose)
3) Now deactivate the plugin and reactivate it.
February 28, 2014 at 12:07 am #61012bcjhoodMemberIt’s still showing the same error after deleting the tables and deactivating/reactivating the plugin.
February 28, 2014 at 12:23 am #61013bcjhoodMemberAt tools.pingdom.com, it shows that it’s failing to retrieve some of the plugin files and doubling the site load time. You can check it out. The site is tiptopsecurity.com
If it matters, I renamed my wordpress database and the wp-content directory from the defaults for security reasons. Could this be a problem?
February 28, 2014 at 1:16 am #61014wzpModeratorOh, most definitely. Unless you know what you’re doing, it will be a problem; and we really can’t help you, until you first undo what you just did. Please reload everything from scratch using the default values, and then use the free Tips & Tricks security plugin, instead of trying to “roll your own.”
