I understand the affiliate program whereby someone can get credit for a sale that is handled at a web site, but is there a way for someone who is doing person-to-person sales be able to have their customer use some sort of code or ID so salespeople can get credit and commissions?

You can activate the “Allow Affiliate ID Entry” feature from the addon settings menu. That lets your customers enter an affiliate ID in the cart for the transaction. So it will work like the following:

1) The affiliate will tell the customer to use their ID during the checkout

2) The customers enters the affiliate’s ID in the cart

3) The commission is given to that affiliate.
