Our website (rapidbi.com) has been experiencing slowness issues, particularly in the dashboard of the site. Investigation if the error logs turned up the following error every few days.
WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query CREATE TABLE [db table details] made by require_once(‘wp-load.php’), require_once(‘wp-config.php’), require_once(‘wp-settings.php’), do_action(‘plugins_loaded’), call_user_func_array, eStore_rca_execute_plugins_loaded_operations, eStore_receipt_creator_update_db_check, eStore_rca_installer, dbDelta, W3_Db->query, W3_DbCache->query, W3_DbCallUnderlying->query, W3_Db->query, W3_DbProcessor->query, W3_Db->default_query
Disabling the eStore Receipt plugin causes website performance to return to normal. As soon as the plugin is activated, the site slow down again. The plugin is currently de-activated.
WordPress 3.5.1
WP eStore 6.9.1
WP Affiliate Platform 5.3.3
WP Payment Gateway Bundle 1.5.1
eStore Receipt Creator Addon 1.1
VPS Hosting
Any insight into this issue?
April 17, 2013 at 5:10 am #55156PeterMemberHi, Which hosting provider are you with and what is the PHP version of your server? Is your host using a windows server?
Can you please download a new copy of the receipt creator addon and try it again and let us know how it goes? You can download the latest version of the addon from here:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/download-addons.php
My understanding is that when such an error occurs it is usually attributed to the host setup:
Having said that we’ll also take a look at the addon to see if we can spot anything wrong.

Apache version 2.2.23
PHP version 5.3.20
MySQL version 5.5.30-cll
I’ve installed the latest version of the plugin (1.6). Our hosting plan is from InMotion hosting (http://www.inmotionhosting.com/vps-hosting) the VPS-2000 plan.

You may need assistance from your provider (which is the same company this site uses).
