When I add one item – the bundle of joy

    http://www.digitalscrapbookinghq.com/store/

To the shopping cart it was trying to add 30 copies of it and crashing my site

I’ve got it set up so you can’t see the quantity and can’t add more than one of the item

Now I’m getting this error – Item limit exceeded! You cannot purchase any more copies of that item

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

I tried adding an item to the cart from your page and was able to successfully do it and did not see any evidence of your site “trying to add 30 copies”.

Have you been able to reproduce this problem again?

You may have a slight misunderstanding of how this feature works. It uses your IP address to detect if you purchased that item in the past. If you did then it will give you that warning since you are not suppose to purchase that quantity again.

Now, there is another feature that lets you limit item quantity purchase on a per checkout basis (this feature doesn’t check your purchase history).

Given your scenario, I don’t understand why you enabled this per customer quantity limit feature in the first place though. You have disabled the quantity display in the cart which tells me that your customers will simply purchase one copy of any item from your store. So my question is what are you trying to achieve? Do you really need to apply a per customer purchase quantity limit?
