Purchasers are taken to paypal and the payment is collected, but they do not receive an email from the site with the download directions.

    Order page: holocaustspeaker.com/order/

Purchase the $1 order. I’ll refund your money afterwards.

Interesting stuff: The REST API and loopback to the site is disabled when the wp-estore plugin is active. I think this may be the issue. The Health Check plugin reports normal REST/Curl stuff when wp-estore is deactivated.

Please check to see if either you, or your hosting provider is using a server-side security setting that prevents PayPal from directly calling WordPress scripts in the wp-content/plugin (or lower) directory.

Please read the following two pages first. It will be very useful for you:

How and When to Enable Debug and What does it do?

What to do if the Debug file is empty or New Debug info is not getting added

Then do a test transaction with the debug logging option enabled. Can you see in the log file if the plugin is receiving the payment notification from PayPal?

    The IPN log says

“[03/22/2019 1:01 PM] – SUCCESS :About to send buyer notification email.

[03/22/2019 1:01 PM] – SUCCESS :Product Email successfully sent (using PHP mail) to xxxxx@xxxxxx.me.”

but as far as I can see, it’s not sent.

The plugin definitely believes it is sending the email.

    1. Are you able to manually send an email, using the Admin Functions, to that email address?

    2. Are you using the SMTP account that came with your hosting package, or are you trying to use Gmail or some other SMTP server?

    3. Is the buyer email account really in the “.me” domain? Are the emails received if a more “conventional” email domain is used?

    4. Please read the first entry of this thread, and see if any of the suggestions help:

Yes. The seller receives a notification.

    No.

Is the buyer email account really in the “.me” domain? Are the emails received if a more “conventional” email domain is used?

Yes. This is one of serveral email addresses I’ve tested with.

Looks to be an email delivery issue. The following post should be helpful:

    https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/not-receiving-emails-even-though-the-plugin-sent-the-email

Using SMTP will definitely help your email delivery issue of this domain.

I’m giving up. I can’t get it to send email nor can I get it to properly return to the site to use instructions on the “thank you” page. This has been very disappointing.
