Hi, I’ve set up eStore so people can purchase gift certificates as a digital product (on pay per view setting where customers view online and then print the certificate out). When more than one gift certificate is added to the cart, everything proceeds fine through the transaction until the confirmation email is sent. The confirmation email says that two gift certificates have been purchased, but only one download link is displayed.
I was expecting to see two links (or maybe two emails?), but there is only one. Could you please let me know if I am encountering an error here, or is eStore only able to sell one item of each digital product at a time?
Thanks in advance for your help!

The issue I am having is that I’m not currently able to sell more then one item of a digital product completely: The shopping cart and checkout steps work fine, the right amount is charged, but then the confirmation email to the customer only includes one download link, even though two of the same item have been purchased. I thought that there might be two download links: one for each product.
Here’s what I get in the confirmation email:
** product name ** x 2 – $1.00 (NZD)
** product name ** – http********.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/download.php?file=U9fSF********
Quantity of 2 products purchased, with only one download link.
I’d like to know if I have set something up incorrectly, or if this is a limitation of we eStore (ie you can only have quantity of a digital product = 1)?
Thanks again for your help
October 15, 2012 at 12:54 pm #50368wzpModeratorMultiple copies of the same digital product were never envisioned as being different (dynamic) from one another; hence only one link is required. License keys & serial numbers allow for multiple downloads of the same digital product, but each copy would be associated with a unique key or serial number.
In the typical scenario, a buyer purchases 1 copy of a digital product, along with 2 license keys or serial numbers. The buyer would then receive via email, one download link, and two license keys or serial numbers.
In your “gift certificate” application, your buyer could download their gift certificate; print 2 copies, and then fill-in the blanks with the 2 serial numbers. Of course, there would have to be some kind of validation at the point-of-sale of the numbers; when the certificates are redeemed.

I will set up coupon codes that match the serial numbers, so when a gift certificate is purchased, the purchaser can then use the serial code (which is actually also a coupon code) to redeem the voucher in the store.
Thanks again!

Where it says to add a audio file, it will only accept one URL
February 8, 2013 at 12:31 am #50372wzpModeratorIf you’re self hosting the 7 files, it’s best to give each their own product ID and then bundle them together. That way, the buyer gets 7 links.
If you are using the Amazon S3 integration feature, it’s best to zip them together and then place the zipped file into your S3 bucket. The buyer then gets 1 link to all 7 files.
The difference is that, with the self hosting option, you want the buyer to be able to download the files in smaller segments; in case of transmission errors. When using Amazon S3 however, the reliability is so high that you can allow for very large downloads without the worry of transmission errors.
