I experience the following problem with eStore:
On the squeeze email,
1) No product name appears despite using the {product_name} email tag
2) The product name appears in place of the download link when using the {product_link} email tag
a. Verified that if you remove the {product_link} tag the product name no longer appears
On the purchase confirmation email and the seller notification email:
1) The product name appears in place of the download link when using the {product_link} email tag.
a. The product name DOES appear when using the {product_name} email tag.
Other data that may be helpful:
– All other email tags that I’ve used are working correctly: e.g. {first_name} {last_name} {product_id} {payer_email} {product_details}
– The properDigital Product URL url’s are correct for each product.
– Using the correct shortcodes for the squeeze and buy functions
– I’ve deactivated, deleted, downloaded and re-installed the eStore plugin, but the results are the same.
Interest, I just noticed that if I go to the admin section and try to generate an encrypted link, it generates the product name with a space and dash after it.
The {product_link} email tag will display the product name and then the link. This is to make sure if a customer purchase many items, they can differential which link is for which item. So the format will be like the following (which is a nice way to present the download links):
Product 1 – [download link goes here]
Product 2 – [download link goes here]
Product 3 – [download link goes here]
Ok, so why isn’t the link being displayed?
Why is no product name being displayed in the squeeze email but is being displayed in the purchase confirmation and seller notification?
I will need to take a look at your email configuration to see what else is going wrong. I have sent you an email for it.
Would the email configuration impede the product’s URL from being encrypted in the GENERATE AN ENCRYPTED DOWNLOAD LINK…” function that’s found in the Admin Functions? Whenever I try to generate an encrypted link for any product, the result that it places in the DOWNLOAD LINK field is the product name. No URL appears in that field.
