Estore – problem with free download product via Squeeze page

Hello I followed your intructions to set up a squeeze page with a product to 0.00. But when I do the test and get the email to download the product I have this message:

The secure download manager encountered a problem he could not handle, and is not able to process your request to download. Please contact the site administrator.

Please tell the site administrator the problem was due to the following reason:

File (on the server) containing the download could not be opened.

Can you help me please

It’s saying that the file you specified in the Product URL field was not found.

Please enable your eStore debug logs, reset the logs, and do another test. The examine the download_manager_debug.log file.

WordPress –> WP eStore –> Settings –> General Settings –> Testing and Debugging Settings –> Enable Debug

Remember to click the “Update Options” button.

Do you have some kind of security plugin or other mechanisms installed?

Bunch of things are wrong here:

1) The file URL you specified in the product configuration is WRONG. You can enter that URL in the browser’s address bar to verify that the URL is correct before using it in the product configuration. It is missing a colon ( after the “http” keyword and there are other typos in there.

2) These files seem to be stored on a different domain than where your WordPress is installed. If you are going to store your files outside of your server, then the best option is to use Amazon S3. We have an integration with Amazon S3.

Hello Master key, I tried with amazon s3 but it does not work. Again I constantly problems downloading my files at home, it cuts and I can not put.

Yes I host files on another server but this is not normally possible?

Hi, I’m having a similar issue. I just purchased WP Estore and I’ve followed the set up videos. I’m also using your upload epub plugin which is great. I’m testing with a free download squeeze form.

I’m running wordpress version 4.7

For the test I’m offering a digital ebook with a download variation for format as epub or mobi.

The price is set to 0.00

The Digital product variation is listed as Format|epub::http://www.coeurdelion.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/d62015-epub.epub|mobi::http://www.coeurdelion.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/d62015-mobi.mobi

I’ve successfully tested with a pdf, but when I try for the above epub or mobi, I get this message when I click the download links sent via email

Instead of trying to manually configure the variations; please try using this add-on, to assist with proper variations setup.
