Tagged: APR Expiry, estore, PPV expiry
When using a PPV product and checking out manually I get this Error Message when clicking the encrypted link in the final customer email:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request.
The problem was due to the following reason:
The download link (see browser address bar) has expired (it’s too old). If you think this reason is in error, please contact the site administrator.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am using this shortcode:
[wp_eStore_APR expiry=0 status=unexpired] Content [/wp_eStore_APR]
Is expiry=0 saying there is no time limitation or there are 0 minutes?
I am trying to have the expiry be indefinite or at least a few years (30000 hours).
I’ve tried many combinations, but none have worked How should I go about this?
What have you configured in the eStore “Digital Product Delivery Settings” for the Duration of Download Link and Download Limit Count fields?
Also can you please try the following test to verify that downloads are working fine for you:
Go to the following area and manually generate an encrypted link for a product:
WP eStore -> Admin Functions
Now, test this link you just generated and tell me if you can download using this link. If you can then your site is working fine in terms of download.
Also just as a safe measure, take a look at this page to ensure that you have set things correctly regarding APR feature:

1. Browser COOKIES MUST BE ENABLED.
2. The global eStore expiry for download links controls how long buyers have access to APR protected pages, VIA THE ENCRYPTED DOWNLOAD LINKS.
3. The APR shortcode expiry settings are on a per APR protected page basis, and CANNOT BE BOOKMARKED. BUYERS MUST ACCESS THE APR PROTECTED PAGES VIA THE ENCRYPTED DOWNLOAD LINKS.
