What is the best image size to use for product Thumbnail Image URLs?
The images look fine on my computer but when I put them on an eStore sales page, the thumbnails are resized by maybe 1 to 3 pixels and are a bit blurry. I’ve tried several different image sizes, I’m using 127×65 at the moment.
Here is the page I’m working on:

I’m using this shortcode to display the products/thumbnails:
[wp_eStore_category_products_fancy id=1 style=1 order=1]
Thank you,

February 14, 2014 at 7:07 pm #60882Garland CoulsonSpectatorI agree the thumbnails look ok but they’re still blurrier then if I use img tags. I tested the thumbnails in the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer at default zoom.
Please look at the following page again:

Above the gift certificates, I added my image for the $10 graphic. Compare it to the thumbnails, the dollar sign and the edge is blurred on the thumbnail but not the source image.
Is there a recommended image size to use for product Thumbnail Image URLs? Or is there another way to fix blurry thumbnails?
I tried the smart thumbnail option in the eStore settings but it made the thumbnail large and blurry.
Thank you for you time,
February 14, 2014 at 10:56 pm #60883adminKeymasterWhen the image is resized by the plugin, it can be a little blurry if it’s size doesn’t fit perfectly in the thumbnail box. Which fancy display template are you using there? That looks like a custom one to me?
February 14, 2014 at 11:33 pm #60884Garland CoulsonSpectatorI’m using Fancy 1 with this shortcode:
[wp_eStore_category_products_fancy id=1 style=1 order=1]
I have the “Extra Shortcodes for WP eStore” plugin installed.
That looks like a custom one to me?”
I temporarily removed my custom css. The fancy display template should no longer look custom:

Thanks,
February 15, 2014 at 10:13 pm #60885adminKeymasterFor fancy1 template the thumbnail works best for 125×125 size.
You still have some custom coding left there. The following page has an example of how each fancy template looks like:

See how the thumbnail size of your one doesn’t look like the one shown in the above page? That means there are some code modifications you have made.

This helped fixed my problem, I changed the size of my images to 125×70 and they’re no longer blurry. Thank you for your help!
