Tagged: phishing threat, Spam Folder, Squeeze Page Email
I’ve gone through the forums here and can’t find this topic so hopefully someone can help me. I have a free download on my website and it is setup through the squeeze page code. Everything works fine as far as the confirmation email being sent with download link, but it shows a “phishing” warning in the header to the email. Can someone direct me as to how to stop this from happening?
Also, where can the email that is sent out be edited? It’s not in the set of emails under eStore or eMember. I am running both.
The email I am referring to just says “Dear Person, here is your download link. Thank you”
My site is all set to the same url http:// not www.
Thanks for any help!
Cami
The “phishing warning” you refer to is created by the recipient’s email provider, and there is little you can do about it. I would check the “From email address” value that you are using (this is coming from your domain? using a from email that is coming from the same domain can be helpful).
This subject has been extensively covered in the past.
The email text can be customized, using the method described here.

Changing the email text to something besides a “one liner” message may reduce or eliminate the problem for some users.
