Hi, I have eStore working well for a PDF download in UK and other countries – thank you for a super plugin.

But today a customer in Austria reports as follows, ‘when I click on Buy, I get to an unusable page – I’m based in Vienna and the page is in German and has all the details in a non-formatted version and I can’t enter my card details’…

    1. From your experience, could you suggest why an unformatted PayPal page might be returned (other than a very slow connection which I realise can occasionally return an unformatted page)? I am unsure where to begin my troubleshooting. I don’t have a screenshot and probably will not be able to get one.

    2. Re the language, I imagined that PayPal would be setting the language by buyer country/profile, but I did find this forum thread https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/how-to-send-buyers-to-english-url-version-of-paypal-checkout-page with respect to the language but it’s 4 years old – do I still follow those instructions if I want to force the language of PayPal to English for all buyers once they hit ‘Buy now’?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi, I’m not sure how that happened. PayPal usually determines the locale by using a cookie in the buyer’s browser. If there is no PayPal cookie, the default locale is set to merchant (your) country.

You can try forcing the locale to see how it goes (Instructions are still the same).
