Hi. How are you all doing? I love the features of the eStore plugin, but it would really support the professionalism of my business if I could use my secure merchant id in place of my Paypal email address, so that customers won’t see my paypal email address in checkout. I don’t know if this is a setting I have to change in paypal to get them to show my Name instead of my paypal address. The paypal email address showing up in the top left corner is very unprofessional & it doesn’t look good at all to say it in a nice way. I would sincerely appreciate any help with this issue. I’m sure it’s minor. I just need some guidance please. Thank you all for your time. I know it’s valuable just like mine. Take care & Make it a great day.
December 4, 2012 at 11:04 pm #52062PeterMemberYour PayPal address which appears at the PayPal checkout login screen is NOT being caused by eStore.
This is due to the type of PayPal account you have (personal or premier account).
In order to be able to display your company name instead of the email address you will need to upgrade your PayPal account to a business or premier account (upgrading your PayPal account is free).

December 9, 2012 at 5:32 am #52064ubertrainersMemberI have set up WP eStore and ONLY want to use 2CheckOut for my payment processing. I have watched all of the videos and tested the connection in 2CO but when I test using the eStore cart to checkout… it defaults to PayPal. I don’t want my customers to use PayPal at all … but I can’t seem to get past eStore defaulting to PayPal.
Help!
thx
Marcus
December 9, 2012 at 10:19 am #52065PeterMemberAre you testing your scenarios with the “Enable Sandbox Testing” checkbox enabled?
If so the plugin will automatically go to PayPal sandbox site.
Is you product a subscription product? (Subscription buttons will only work for PayPal and will not work for 2Checkout)
Have you read the 2CheckOut instruction page?

Can you please post a link to the page containing your product so we can try checking out?
August 31, 2013 at 7:20 pm #52066terungwaMemberI seem to have the same challenge. “Enable Sandbox Testing” checkbox is not enabled on my site
“Is you product a subscription product?”-no
What am I missing out here?
I am using emember and estore
September 1, 2013 at 12:19 am #52067adminKeymasterAre you using a personal PayPal account or a business account?
September 3, 2013 at 6:59 pm #52068terungwaMemberI am not using paypal at all. I have set my payment options to manual and 2checkout.
September 4, 2013 at 12:16 am #52069adminKeymasterIf you read the title of this topic, you will see that it talks about PayPal and showing the email address on PayPal checkout page. So I got a little confused as to what your issue was.
Have you enabled the “Enable Fancy Redirection On Checkout” option in the settings? If you have please disable it then do a test.
September 4, 2013 at 8:33 pm #52070terungwaMemberoops my bad! Let me start a new support thread to avoid stirring up confusion and perhaps misleading others.
September 25, 2013 at 5:07 pm #52071iliaxiaMemberI see in the PayPal settings for eStore Payment Gateway Settings that the field says “Paypal Email Address/Secure Merchant ID”. Does this mean either one? I would prefer to enter my merchant ID (I have PayPal Pro) instead of my email but I am in the middle of a launch so I need to be sure it won’t mess anything up!
Thanks!
September 26, 2013 at 12:04 am #52072wpCommerceModeratorHi, you can enter either your email address or the secure merchant ID. Please note that the PayPal settings in the eStore plugin only apply to Standard PayPal checkout: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wordpress-ecommerce-knowledgebase-523
If you are looking to set up a PayPal Pro checkout (where a user pays via credit card on your site) you will configure the settings in the payment gateway bundle addon: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wp-payment-gateway-bundle-plugin
