Hi there,
I have bought and installed the Payment Gateway Bundle to use the Stripe Alipay integration. But sadly it does not work as Alipay popup asks buyers for a “User ID” which is NOT what they have with their accounts. Alipay users use either their email address or phone number, as well as using a QR code. They do not have a “User ID”.
Q1: How can I get your Alipay interface to work?
Q2: What is the https://s-plugins.com/stripe-payments-plugin-addons-extensions/ all about? I found this on a search and confused as it does use email address for a Stripe-Alipay purchase.
Q3: Do the above s-plugins 2 plugins work with eStore? Your videos show a WordPress admin screen with eStore installed. Or does s-plugins products work alone.
Q4: If your free s-plugins Stripe and Alipay are all I need, why do we need the eStore and its Payment Gateway Bundle?
Look forward to your advice. So confusing.

September 19, 2019 at 2:44 am #79938adminKeymasterWP eStore and Stripe payments are complete TWO different plugins. There is no association. They work independently. Please don’t try to compare them since it will be an apple to orange comparison.
There is a landing page (for each of the plugins) that explains what the plugin does.
If Stripe is the only payment gateway that you will be using and you do not need a shopping cart functionality, then Stripe payments plugin is the better option (in my opinion).
The Stripe’s new SCA related changes are causing some trouble with some features. We will look at the AliPay feature of Stripe and get back to you.

Yes, I do need shopping cart so happy with eStore as noted earlier.
But chose eStore because of its advertised Alipay feature so hope you can fix the Alipay process soon. Needs same checkout credentials as the ‘Stripe Payments’ addon.
Fingers crossed. Thanks for your support.
September 19, 2019 at 4:44 am #79940wpCommerceModerator@RichardHK, Are you using our Stripe Basic option (popup) that doesn’t support strong customer authentication?

Yes, but only because the Alipay option is not available elsewhere. I have to use the Popup, no choice. Would ideally like to use standard checkouts.
September 19, 2019 at 5:47 am #79942RichardHKMemberFYI you can see my Stripe test entry page here (Alipay popup asking for User ID as noted above). Click on buy button to go to test cart:
Password protected: Alipay

By all means test if you wish. Will not take your money.
September 20, 2019 at 6:45 am #79943wpCommerceModerator@RichardHK, Thanks. We have checked Stripe’s documentation. It appears they no longer support Alipay in their old checkout method. We have removed Alipay from payment gateway bundle settings and released an update.
September 20, 2019 at 7:38 am #79944RichardHKMemberOh no!
Q1: Does this apply to your Alipay gateway addon for the Stripe Payments plugin too?
Q2: Why not maintain Alipay under its current Stripe Sources API, which is not going to change?
Than update when Stripe roll out planned Alipay integration for the new Payment Methods API? Surely WooCommerce and other Alipay systems are still running Ok.
Q3: If you are removing Alipay I will need to ask for refund of my 2x Gateway plugins bought earlier this month. Bought solely for your Alipay integration. Is this Ok then? ; (
September 21, 2019 at 3:44 am #79945adminKeymasterIf you are using the old API of Stripe with our Stripe payments plugin, then the Alipay addon will continue to work.
One thing to understand is that Stripe is making these changes. We have to work within the parameters that Stripe is giving us. For the NEW API stripe isn’t offering AliPay for now. When they sort it out, we will update our plugin accordingly.
You probably should come back to this after couple weeks when things will settle down a bit with the new SCA related changes that Stripe is making.
September 22, 2019 at 5:55 am #79946RichardHKMemberOk, thanks.
I will certainly keep in touch with developments. eStore and its addons are a fabulous set of tools giving so much functionality. Well done Tips and Trips HQ!
