Hi,
I’ve been using the eStore plugin and affiliate platform with some success for the past 4 months now.
When a customer visits my website through an affiliate, they then read the sales page, click the buy now button and are taken straight to Paypal where they make payment and are then redirected back to my site where there are presented with their transaction number. I can then finally track through Google analytics, where my sales are coming from and also award commission through the affiliate plugin to the relevant affiliate.
I sell a physical product and the challenge I face at the moment is the cost of merchant services and the quantity issue.
Prior to using eStore I used Paypal Buy it Now buttons, and when a customer clicks this button they where redirected to the paypal payment page where they can change the quantity of their order. They cannot do this with eStore I this limits my ability to sell more than 1 quantity of my product.
I prefer to only use buy it now buttons as I know from experience that adding an additional step such as an ecart only frustrates and delays potential customers.
Is there any way to integrate 2Checkout with a buy it now button or alternative merchant services while retaining the nice affiliate program and google analytics setup I have.
Or
Will I be forced to pay through the nose for an expensive custom development?
Any thoughts on the above would be really appreciated as I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place right now.

When you have a very specific need the options are very limited unfortunately. Either hire someone that can do the work for you or find an alternative solution that offers what you are looking for.

One more question, does affiliate platform link up easily with 2CO as according to their website they can accept an affiliate URL:
Affiliate URL
2Checkout.com supports almost any affiliate program that works off a hidden image tag on the sales confirmation page. Your affiliate program should provide you a <image src => string which creates a transparent image on our checkout page and informs them of the completed sale.
To have the string populated dynamically put the following variables in the appropriate locations and the pay routine will fill them in after the sale is complete.
$a_order – 2Checkout.com Order ID.
$a_total – Total Dollars Paid.
$a_product – Your Product ID.
$a_quantity – Quantity of Product ID Sold.
Example:
https://affiliate.com/sale.cgi?order=$a_order&total=$a_total&product=$a_product&quantity=$a_quantity
Thanks,
June 3, 2012 at 12:23 am #45785adminKeymasterIf you are using eStore then you don’t need to worry about these as eStore is integrated with affiliate by default so all sales processed by eStore (for any payment gateway) will handle the commission awarding. If you are referring to the affiliate program offered by 2checkout then you don’t need to use the affiliate platform plugin because that program is an alternative to the affiliate platform itself.
